Role Overview

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager to expand our Air, Ocean, and Logistics (including warehousing) services across the Northeast U.S.

This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives on building new business, developing client relationships, and taking ownership of their market.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities aligned with company growth objectives
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
  • Drive revenue growth across Air, Ocean, and Logistics/Warehousing services
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities
  • Manage key accounts and ensure high levels of client satisfaction
  • Lead client meetings (virtual and in-person) and present tailored logistics solutions
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements
  • Prepare and manage spot and regular quotations with internal support teams
  • Track and report sales activity, pipeline, and performance metrics
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless service delivery


Location

Chicago, IL (covering the Midwest U.S.) – Hybrid work environment with client travel as needed


Qualifications

  • Proven success in Business Development, Sales, or Client Relationship Management
  • Strong ability to prospect, close deals, and grow accounts
  • Analytical mindset with experience in market research and competitive analysis
  • Skilled in negotiation and strategic planning
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain is strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
