Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Hostess / Host to be the welcoming face of our restaurant. In this role, you will manage guest seating, handle reservations, and ensure smooth flow of the dining experience. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help create a positive atmosphere for both guests and team members.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists with professionalism and efficiency
- Handle restaurant reservation management using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring comfort and satisfaction throughout their visit
- Maintain accurate restaurant table management systems to optimize seating arrangements
- Answer phone calls promptly, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Assist with guest services, addressing inquiries, special requests, or concerns promptly
- Support food safety standards by coordinating with kitchen staff and ensuring cleanliness in guest areas
Experience
- Prior host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively
- Experience with restaurant reservation management systems and POS systems like Aloha or Micros is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, seating, and guest flow efficiently
- Good communication skills, including phone communication and guest relations
- Basic math skills for handling reservations and table management tasks
- Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards is desirable
