Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of our facility during the work day. This role is essential to ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for employees and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles
- Refill supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, and soap
- Spot clean walls, windows, and high-touch surfaces
- Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to management
- Follow established cleaning schedules and safety procedures
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and properly
- Scrubs carpets as needed
- Strips wax and re-waxes lunch room as needed
- Cleans grout in ceramic tile bi-weekly
- Washes steps from the first floor and keeps floors in lobby area clean
Qualifications
- Prior janitorial or cleaning experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Dependable and punctual
