Logan Property Management is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Accountant / Property Accountant to join our growing corporate accounting team. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys managing full-cycle accounting functions for multiple residential and commercial properties.
The ideal candidate will bring 5–7 years of accounting experience (preferably in property management or real estate), a strong understanding of monthly closing processes, and the ability to communicate effectively across departments. A CPA license or candidacy is a strong plus.
Responsibilities: - Perform full-cycle accounting for assigned properties, including journal entries, accruals, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements for accuracy and timeliness.
- Complete bank reconciliations, balance sheet account reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
- Manage and monitor accounts payable and receivable activity for assigned properties.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with property and regional teams.
- Partner closely with property managers, regional directors, and corporate leadership to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Assist with year-end audits and tax preparation, providing required schedules and documentation.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
- 5–7 years of accounting experience, preferably within property management, real estate, or multi-entity environments.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and monthly closing processes.
- CPA license or active CPA candidacy strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, RealPage, OneSite, Entrata, or Yardi (preferred).
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with accuracy and professionalism.
