What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing Clerk position at Logan Mingo Area Mental?
This is a full time position located at MLIH's administrative offices at Fountain Place in Logan, WV.
POSITION PURPOSE:
This employee should possess the ability to quickly and accurately key electronic claims submissions, post electronic payments, and meet a quota deemed necessary by the manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Key daily charges, service tickets, and work aging.
2. Maintain and manage all insurance accounts.
- Follow up on all rejections that are received by the clearinghouse.
- Make phone calls as needed to various insurance companies for claims status.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
- Review on a regular basis the aging of all patient non-payment accounts.
- Uphold the state and federal guidelines of the Waiver Program.
- Enter data electronically into clinical recordkeeping and billing systems and record all events involving consumers and patients of LMAMH on a daily basis.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma with emphasis on business and typing with some computer experience preferred. At least one year of successful employment in a business office with billing experience. Experience with Athena EHR is strongly preferred.
Salary : $30,279 - $39,814
