Position Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and technically proficient ERP Specialist to manage and optimize our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. In this cross-functional role, you will be the primary point of contact for all ERP-related activities. You will work closely with our sales team to ensure accurate material and labor inputs for custom quotes, train our manufacturing operators on proper system usage, and develop insightful reports for the leadership team. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and a passion for leveraging technology to improve business efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Management: Serve as the primary administrator for the company's ERP system, ensuring data integrity, system stability, and optimal performance across all modules.
- Sales & Quoting Support: Collaborate directly with the sales and estimating teams to build and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and labor routings within the ERP. Ensure that all material costs and labor estimates are up-to-date to support accurate customer quoting for custom truck bodies.
- Operator Training & Support: Act as the frontline support for manufacturing floor operators. Develop training materials and conduct hands-on training sessions to ensure production staff can effectively use the ERP system for time tracking, material consumption, and job status updates.
- Reporting & Analytics: Design, generate, and maintain custom reports and dashboards for the leadership team. Extract actionable insights from ERP data regarding production efficiency, inventory levels, job costing, and overall operational performance.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate current business workflows and identify opportunities to streamline operations through better utilization of the ERP system.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve user issues, system errors, and data discrepancies in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience working directly with an ERP system, preferably within a manufacturing or custom fabrication environment.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of manufacturing ERP concepts, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, inventory management, and job costing. Proficiency in report writing and data extraction (e.g., SQL, Excel, or built-in ERP reporting tools).
- Analytical Ability: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data and translate it into clear, actionable business reports.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to explain technical system concepts to non-technical staff on the manufacturing floor and present data clearly to executive leadership.
- Detail-Oriented: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when managing pricing, labor rates, and quoting data.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent professional experience will be strongly considered.
Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
