What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Service - Head Cook (LF) position at Logan Fontenelle Middle School?
Applications are being accepted for a 7 hour per day Head Cook position at Logan Fontenelle Middle School. In absence of a cafeteria manager, the head cook is responsible for the operation of the kitchen and the food service program. The primary responsibility for the head cook is the preparation and storage of all food, as well as maintaining standards set by the State Health Department and State Food Service Office. Duties include inventory maintenance, ordering food supplies and storage of all food. The candidate must be friendly, flexible, team, and people oriented. Applicants must be able to lift at least 40 pounds. Required qualifications are that the applicant not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself or others with or without reasonable accommodations, and must be capable of regularly attending to the duties of the position assigned and for the duration of the assignment. This position is subject to a veterans preference. Duty hours are typically Monday through Friday from 6:30am - 1:30pm
