What are the responsibilities and job description for the EL Paraprofessional (LF) position at Logan Fontenelle Middle School?
Applications are being accepted for a 7 hour per day District English Language Paraprofessional position. The candidate must be flexible to work at multiple schools and grade levels. The ELL paraprofessional works under the direction and supervision of a teacher or other designated member of the school staff. The ELL paraprofessional helps English Language Learning students to acquire English and assist with accommodations directed by the classroom teacher. Duties include supervising and working with students both one on one and in small groups when assisting the teacher in the classroom. Required qualifications are that the applicant not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself or others with or without reasonable accommodations, and must be capable of regularly attending to the duties of the position assigned and for the duration of the assignment. A valid driver's license is required in order to travel to more than one school during the work day. This position is subject to a veterans preference. Duty hours are typically Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
