Registered Veterinary Technician
Family oriented, high quality general practice looking for experienced Registered Veterinary Technician in beautiful Geist/Fishers area to assist two veterinarians. Practice limited to Canine and Feline medicine and surgery only.
Paid vacation/sick time, competitive wage with bonuses, and retirement plan available. Part time help will be considered but full time help is preferred. Schedule is negotiable, but a full time position generally consists of four week days and every other Saturday from 8:00am - 12:00pm.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following skills:
Animal restraint, interacting with and obtaining histories from clients; venipuncture; placing IV catheters; obtaining, preparing, and reading cytological samples; performing urinalysis; taking radiographs; performing dental prophylaxis; calculating, preparing, and administering drugs; prepping patients for surgery; monitoring anesthesia; and general animal care.
