What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgical Technican for Outpatient Facility position at Loftus Plastic Surgery Center?
Overview
We are a small office-based outpatient plastic surgery facility with a single operating room. We operate on Tuesdays. No evenings. No call. No overnight stays. Our staff is small and made up of hard-working dedicated nurses and techs who are team-players.
We seek an additional surgical tech to work 1-2 Tuesdays each month. The tech we hire will be expected to fill the following roles:
- Set up operating room back table prior to each procedure.
- Assist the surgeon with procedures.
- Turn over the operating room and instruments between cases.
- Don't worry if you have little or no experience in plastic surgery. We will train you, provided that you have experience working as a scrub tech previously.
Other matters:
· You need not be certified.
· We set our schedule a few months in advance. We are flexible with the schedule; and we don’t say no when you need time off for a vacation or any other reason.
· However, once you commit to a work date, we expect you to be here.
· Our workdays are from about 7 AM through the end of day which ranges from 2-5 PM.
· Please don’t apply if you cannot drive in the snow or if you find yourself calling in sick or canceling work for any other reason.
· Hourly pay: begins at $20/hour (or higher, if more experienced)
