Receiving Clerk

Join Produce Innovations, a division of Loffredo Fresh Foods as a full time Receiving Clerk based out of our Norwalk, IA Branch. We are a local, family-owned food and produce distributor that has proudly served the Midwest region for over 130 years. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately managing inbound shipments, maintaining inventory organization, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of our facility. Your attention to detail and ability to coordinate shipments will directly impact our ability to deliver fresh, high-quality produce to our customers.

What we look for:

• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations (preferred, especially in food manufacturing)
• High school diploma or equivalent 
• Forklift certification and experience operating warehouse equipment (
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain inventory accuracy
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and external partners
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
• Flexibility to work occasional overtime, weekends, or holidays based on business needs
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations

What you’ll do:

• SAFETY FIRST. Must be able to safely operation warehouse equipment at all times and follow all safety guidelines
•  Receive and verify incoming shipments of raw materials, packaging supplies, and other goods
• Unload delivery trucks and move materials to designated storage areas using forklifts or pallet jacks
• Ensure proper inventory organization and stock rotation to maintain accuracy and efficient
• Prepare outbound shipments by accurately picking, packing, and labeling products for distribution
• Generate shipping documents, including bills of lading and packing slips
• Coordinate shipments with production and logistics teams to meet customer delivery requirements
• Inspect shipments for accuracy and compliance with company and regulatory requirements
• Assist with regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies in stock levels
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols and company policies
• Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• All other assigned duties
