Job Title: Day Warehouse Associate
Location: Des Moines, IA

We are a local, family-owned food and produce distributor that has proudly served the Midwest region for over 130 years. We distribute to 11 different states across our 6 locations. As a Day Warehouse Receiver, you will play a crucial role in our operations by ensuring that all freight is being received, unloaded, and entered in the system correctly. You will be responsible for navigating the warehouse, receive/unload inbound freight, and use warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks. Your attention to detail and efficiency will help maintain the high standards of service our customers expect.
Pay: $16
Schedule Position 1 :
- Days Working: Tuesday – Saturday
- Off: Sunday, Monday
- Start Time: 6 AM
Schedule Position 2:
- Days Working: Tuesday – Saturday
- Off: Sunday, Monday
- Start Time: 8 AM
What we look for:
- Previous warehouse and pallet jack experience preferred
- Able to work in a refrigerated environment for 8 hours
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 75 lbs. occasionally
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to take direction from all levels of management
- Ability to work independently within a team setting
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English for the automated headset
What you’ll do:
- SAFETY FIRST. Must be able to safely operation warehouse equipment at all times and follow all safety guidelines
- Receive/Unload inbound freight and put away
- Accurately select and pack orders for shipment, both internally and externally
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- All other assigned duties
