What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical receptionist/Optometric Assistant position at Loeper Vision Team?
Optometric assistant needed for busy, friendly Optometry practice with 2 doctors. Supportive work environment with weekly bonus system. One year or more of experience in an optometric or medical field is preferred but will train motivated individuals with customer service experience. Looking for someone with excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude and the ability to problem solve. Communication skills and professionalism are a must as candidates will need to work both independently and as a team.
Job responsibilities include answering the phone, scheduling patients, calculating insurance benefits, acquiring insurance authorizations, triaging emergency patients, assisting patients with contact lenses and glasses, contact lens ordering and interacting with doctors and staff in all areas of patient care.
The position is for 34-36 hours/week. A short cover letter stating why you are interested in the position is very useful. Will also consider part time employment.
