What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Assistant position at Lods of Smiles Family Dentistry?
We are seeking a skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to take radiographs, place resin restorations, write detailed clinical note, clean rooms after appointments and set up rooms for the next procedure. Procedures completed at our office include but are not limited to cleanings, resin fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions, partials and dentures. Our office provides a calm fun work environment with an excellent work/life balence.
*Hours *
Monday & Wednesday 10am-5pm
Tuesday & Thursday 8am-3pm
*Duties*
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient procedures
- Take digital dental X-rays
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Provide post-operative instructions prescribed by the dentist
- Maintain accurate patient records
*Experience*
- Prior experience in dental assisting is preferred
- Knowledge of infection control protocols
- Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and HIPAA regulations
- Proficiency using Eaglesoft software is a plus
- Understanding of dental coding and documentation practices
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
