What are the responsibilities and job description for the Glazier at Maintenance & Operations position at Lodi Unified School District?
BASIC FUNCTION: Perform a variety of skilled tasks in the removal, installation and replacement of glass and related materials in District facilities and equipment. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE OF: Materials, tools and methods of cutting, setting and installing various kinds of glass and plastic. Installation of a variety of door hinges including overhead, floor and offset hinges. Building codes related to use of glass and plastic materials. Safety practices and precautions related to glazing, loading and carrying glass. ABILITY TO: Read and understand blueprints. Apply basic math concepts such as computing square footage. Rig and work from ladders and scaffolds. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: high school diploma or equivalent supplemented by completion of a formal apprentice program or equivalent on the job training; journey-level glazier experience.
