Responsibilities
- Greet patients and healthcare providers with a friendly, professional attitude, ensuring excellent patient service at all times
- Process prescriptions accurately using pharmacy management systems, verifying medication details and patient information
- Manage cash register transactions efficiently, including billing and payment processing for prescriptions and over-the-counter products
- Assist with inventory management by stocking shelves, checking expiration dates, and maintaining organized storage of medications
- Support pharmacy technicians and pharmacists with medication preparation, including aseptic techniques for sterile products such as IV infusions
- Handle intake of prescriptions and patient inquiries, providing clear information about medication usage and pharmacy procedures
- Maintain accurate records of transactions, medication logs, and patient interactions to ensure compliance with safety standards
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy or hospital environments is highly desirable
- Critical care experience or familiarity with acute care settings enhances your ability to support complex medication needs
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration processes is essential
- Experience with IV infusion preparation, aseptic technique, and sterile compounding is preferred
