What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Area Attendant position at Lodging Dynamics?
Location: Hilton Garden Inn/Homewood Suites San Diego Downtown/Bayside
Life as a Public Area Attendant:
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
- Review the assigned area and complete general removal of any trash.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of closets; remove trash, wipe down shelves/counters; sweep and wax floor; remove non-floor closet items and transport to proper storage areas.
- Remove all dust, debris, and foreign particles from upholstered furniture, including crevices and under cushions.
- Review assignment sheet and update completed assignments. Check with the Supervisor and Housekeeping office for additional assignments throughout the shift.
What we're looking for:
- Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling
- Previous experience in cleaning public buildings
- High school graduate or equivalent vocational training
- Experience in hospitality industry in similar position
- Previous guest relations training
What to expect in your first few months:
You will begin by getting familiar with the property. From there, you will be working with a team of professionals, like yourself, who ensure cleanliness is a priority! As your work progresses, your role will play an important part in the hotel operations!
