WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
We are seeking compassionate and motivated per diem therapists to join our growing mental health team. This role is ideal for licensed clinicians or clinicians working under limited permits who are looking for flexible scheduling while providing high-quality, client-centered care.
Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree and one of the following credentials:
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Master Social Worker Limited Permit (MSW-LP)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or MHC Limited Permit (MHC-LP)
- Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
Additional requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (for Long Island placements)
- Successful completion of State Child Abuse Registry clearance, fingerprinting, criminal background checks, and other required screenings.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Provide weekly 60-minute individual psychotherapy sessions to youth and young adults in home and community settings
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Support clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral concerns, and social-emotional challenges
- Collaborate with families, schools, and community supports to ensure coordinated, holistic care
- Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation — completed remotely
- Participate in individual or group supervision and ongoing professional development
SCHEDULE & CASELOAD
- Minimum caseload: 4 clients per week (~4 hours of direct service), plus additional time for developing individualized treatment plans and weekly progress notes. All sessions are required to be in person.
- Supervision is a required component of the position; however, scheduling remains flexible to accommodate staff availability and client scheduling needs.
- Notes, treatment plans and supervision are all completed remotely
- Sessions primarily scheduled after school: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM weekdays
- Flexible scheduling — great for clinicians who are also in school or working other positions
- Weekend availability is optional, not required
- Morning/daytime slots (Mon–Fri) are generally not available
COMPENSATION:
Licensed Clinicians:
- $80.00 per service hour
- $120.00 per assessment (including report)
Limited Permit Clinicians:
- $65.00 per service hour
- $105.00 per assessment (including report)
- Pay increases upon successful licensure
WHERE YOU'LL WORK:
- Client sessions take place in homes and community settings across Long Island, Queens, and Brooklyn
- All documentation and supervision are completed remotely — no office commute
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle preferred for Long Island placements
- We work to match clinicians with clients in their preferred region — assignments may vary based on client availability
