Job Overview
Lōdal is seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to support the painting and finishing of heavy-duty refuse truck bodies, chassis, and components. This role is critical to product durability, corrosion resistance, and final appearance. The ideal candidate has experience in industrial or automotive painting and understands the importance of surface prep, process control, and quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Prepare steel components and assemblies for paint (cleaning, masking, sanding, blasting as required)
- Apply primers, base coats, and topcoats using spray equipment (airless, HVLP, or conventional)
- Paint large fabricated assemblies, frames, and truck bodies
- Follow paint specifications, work instructions, and quality standards
- Inspect finished parts for coverage, adhesion, thickness, and defects
- Maintain paint booth cleanliness and proper ventilation practices
- Safely handle paints, solvents, and chemicals per SDS and OSHA requirements
- Perform basic paint booth and equipment maintenance
- Work closely with fabrication, welding, and assembly teams
- Support continuous improvement in paint quality and efficiency
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in industrial, automotive, or heavy-equipment painting
- Experience painting large steel structures or vehicles
- Knowledge of surface preparation methods and coating systems
- Ability to read work instructions and basic drawings
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on large assemblies
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Pay: $20.00 - $28.50 per hour
