Position Overview
- Lead a one-hour Sunday worship service
- Provide pastoral care, including weddings, funerals, and congregational support as needed
- Work collaboratively with church leadership to guide spiritual and missional direction
- Develop and implement strategies for meaningful community engagement
- Identify and pursue opportunities for congregational growth and outreach
Compensation
$18,000 annually, with opportunity for salary growth aligned with congregational development, attendance growth, and expanded ministry impact.
Qualifications
Preference given to:
- Graduate of an accredited seminary or divinity school
- Ordained, or eligible for ordination, in a Protestant Christian denomination
- Affiliation with the Presbyterian Church (USA) or the United Church of Christ
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Launch and communicate vision
- Engage a local community
- Lead with initiative and energy
- Build relationships beyond the church walls

About the Congregation and Facilities
Founded in 1887, our historic and well-maintained church building features:
- A first-floor social hall
- A second-floor sanctuary adorned with original stained-glass windows
- The Historic Immigrant House (late 1800s), originally built as a mission to support immigrants arriving in America. The first floor now houses a museum preserving this significant chapter of Baltimore’s history.
- An adjacent parsonage (row home), currently leased to provide supplemental income to support church operations.
