Operations & Creative Assistant

Locust Lane Rugs is a growing Huntsville-based rug company specializing in beautifully handcrafted rugs, with a primary focus on online sales. We operate primarily through our online store, with our office and warehouse located in Huntsville.

We're looking for an entry-level Operations & Creative Assistant who is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and eager to contribute to the daily operations of our growing business.

This is primarily an operations and administrative position with opportunities to assist on creative projects. You'll work closely with our Head of Operations and Marketing Manager, helping ensure daily operations run smoothly while supporting various projects across the company.

Operations & Administrative Support

• Assist with daily business operations, order processing, and fulfillment of rug samples and mini rugs.
• Support warehouse inventory management and shipping coordination.
• Help manage customer communications via the office phone.
• Help manage general office needs, including monitoring inventory of supplies.
• Assist with daily administrative tasks.
• Support product-related projects.
• Provide additional assistance to the Head of Operations as needed.

Creative & Marketing Support

• Assist the Marketing Manager with content creation and marketing initiatives.
• Support social media content planning, creation, and email marketing.
• Help coordinate and track influencer collaborations and brand partnerships.
• Capture product photography and other visual content using a camera.

• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
• Proactive, resourceful, and willing to take initiative.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to manage multiple responsibilities and adapt to changing priorities.
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
• Comfortable working in both an office and warehouse environment.
• Comfortable using a camera and capturing product photography.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
• An interest in interior design, home decor, and creative projects is a plus.
• Familiarity with Shopify, Canva, or social media platforms is helpful but not required.
