We are seeking an experienced, talented, self-motivated Data Architect who has a successful track record utilizing modern data modeling and operations technologies. You will have the opportunity to make a major impact on the technical direction of our products, working with our robotic application solution to improve leverage the power data for better visibility into operational performance, optimization of operations and applications of data science. This role is perfect for someone who loves a fast-paced startup environment and wants to break into the robotics field.

Job Description

  • Implement enterprise data modeling and data storage strategies including data archiving
  • Drive data strategy and design of high volume transactional, operational, analytical, and reporting solutions
  • Collaborate with the architecture, robotics, integration, data science and business system teams to develop data domain strategies as well as logical and conceptual data models
  • Lead defining and implementing patterns and solutions supporting large-scale database platforms in the cloud, on-premises in both relational and no-SQL paradigms
  • Identify and govern appropriate data sourcing, data lineage, and metadata

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar engineering degree. 
  • 10 years of experience in data modeling and database technologies, covering both operational and analytical use cases
  • Knowledge and experience with large-scale database platforms including big data on public cloud
  • Solid knowledge of core Information Architecture capabilities spanning Master and Reference Data Management, Data Quality (DQ), Metadata Management and Data Taxonomy
  • Skilled in Data Integration, Data Migration and Data Modeling
  • Expertise with Data Modeling tools such as Erwin
  • Expertise in developing stored procedures, complex but efficient queries and flexible data schema to server functionalities of various applications
  • Solid understanding and hands-on experience using one or more of implementation of SQL/NO-SQL Databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, AWS RDS & Aurora
  • Experience in defining and implementing data transformation logic
  • An understanding of agile software development and testing principles and practices
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Experience, and/or familiarity, with native cloud application development (GCP, AWS, Azure) would be an asset, but not required. Continuous deployment experience would also be a benefit.
  • Expertise with warehouse execution and warehouse automation systems is a strong plus
  • A good sense of humor and an ability to have fun!
