Job Description

Locus, a CDW company is seeking Customer Service Representatives with Call Center experience for a very large Teacher's Union in Downtown NYC. Details are below.

Start Date: Monday, 7/10/23
Title: Call Center Concierge
Pay: $20/hr ($18/hr for the first 2 weeks of training)
Duration: Indefinite
Location: New York, NY 10004 (Wall Street area)

TRAINING SCHEDULE: Mon – Fri, 9am – 5pm (2ND week Friday is the first WFH day)
FULL TIME SHIFT: 10am – 6pm, Mon – Fri (Subject to adjustments – Possible 9am start)

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Answering phones from members professionally and responding to their inquiries and complaints.
• Researching required information using available resources.
• Handling and resolving member complaints
• Navigating the member through services that the organization provides.
• Identifying and escalating priority issues by reporting to management.
• Routing inbound calls to the appropriate subject matters/queue.
• Following up with members when required.
• Completing call notes before the call is escalated to a subject matter expert or complete.
• Obtaining and evaluating all relevant data from the call to handle complaints and inquiries.
• Recording details of comments, inquiries, complaints, and actions taken.
• Other duties as assigned (ex. special call-based projects).

Requirements:
• Attendance and punctuality are imperative.
• Excellent and effective communication skills, including verbal with proper grammar.
• Ability to work with others.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Good multi-tasking skills.
• Flexible schedule
• Able to react effectively and calmly in emergencies.
• Able to maintain member confidentiality.
• Efficient in Microsoft office (word, excel, power point)

Preferred Skills
• Salesforce.
• Bi-lingual Spanish a plus but not mandatory

Note: This is not a remote position, however after training, UFT will function in a remote hybrid schedule until further notice. Must have reliable internet and computer equipment for remote work
