The facility provides inpatient orthopedic trauma surgery services with established clinical protocols to support consultative, surgical, and rounding responsibilities. The hospital is structured to accommodate 24-hour call coverage, including night call, on an on-site basis. Resources are in place to ensure continuity of inpatient orthopedic trauma care throughout each assigned coverage period.

The area offers a range of outdoor and recreational opportunities suited to varied interests. Highlights include a state park spanning nearly 8,000 acres with trails, boating, camping, and aquatic facilities, as well as a county park featuring trails, a playground, a dog park, an archery range, and a nature center. Additional attractions include a zoo, a local history museum, and a variety of dining options throughout the region.

The orthopedic trauma surgeon will provide on-site inpatient 24-hour call coverage, including night call, with responsibilities encompassing inpatient consultations, surgical procedures, and patient rounding. Call coverage is a required component of this assignment, and clinicians must maintain continuous on-site availability throughout each assigned coverage period. Board certification is required for all clinicians considered for this role.
