Practice Setting
- Outpatient adult Hematology Oncology clinic
- Case mix is approximately 80 percent oncology and 20 percent hematology
- Common tumor types include breast, prostate, lung, colorectal, and head and neck
- Infusion center support with daily infusion volume around 25 to 30 patients
Schedule
- Monday through Friday schedule
- Four clinical days plus one administrative day each week
- Forty hours per week structure
- Clinic visit templates set at 60 minutes for new patients and 30 minutes for follow ups
Workload and Flow
- Typical clinic volume is 12 to 15 patients per day
- Coverage need is designed for a consistent presence, preference for full time
Technology and Support
- Charting in EPIC
- Support staff includes 2 APPs, clinic manager, medical assistants, triage RN, chemo RNs, pharmacists, pharmacy tech support, refill coordination, and scheduling team
Requirements
- Must be an MD or DO
- Board Certified in Hematology Oncology
- Oregon medical license, will consider physicians who need licensing
