About the Position
LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Family Practice MD in California!
Our client in California is seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician for an exciting 60-day assignment starting May 25, 2026. This role involves a Monday-Friday schedule from 8am-5pm, focusing on seeing 3 patients per hour, maintaining timely charting, and managing walk-ins. The Physician will handle a diverse range of cases including cold, cough, flu, diabetes, hypertension, and a strong emphasis on women's health services such as IUD insertion and removal, PAP smears, and Nexplanon procedures, alongside well child check-ups.
Responsibilities and Duties
- See 3 patients per hour
- Ensure timely charting of patient encounters
- Manage walk-in patient flow
- Provide comprehensive care for common ailments including cold, cough, and flu
- Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension
- Perform women's health procedures including IUD insertion and removal
- Conduct PAP smears and Nexplanon insertions
- Perform well child check-ups
