About the Position
LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Urgent Care NP in Louisiana!
We are seeking an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 35-day assignment in Louisiana, starting May 18, 2026. The schedule involves Monday through Friday shifts from 8am-8pm and weekend shifts from 9am-5pm. This role requires comfort as the sole provider, performing various in-office procedures, managing occupational medicine cases, and interpreting EKGs and X-rays.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Serve as the sole provider in an urgent care setting.
- Perform EKG interpretation.
- Perform X-Ray interpretation.
- Execute splinting and fabrication of splints.
- Conduct laceration repair and suturing.
- Perform incision and drainage procedures.
- Perform ear wax removal.
- Perform foreign body removal of skin.
- Perform foreign body removal of eye.
- Manage nosebleeds.
- Administer IVs.
- Perform toenail excision or removal.
- Provide wound care.
- Handle occupational medicine cases including workplace injuries, evaluations, and drug testing.
