The department is staffed by 4 MDs and 18 CRNAs, operating with high autonomy and a collaborative MD-CRNA working relationship. A two-layer pager call system covers both MDs and CRNAs; no post-call day off is provided, and call-back occurrences are rare. Board certification and prescriptive authority are required for all clinicians considered for this role.
