This position requires access to information controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the successful candidate must be a "U.S. person" as defined in the ITAR and EAR (which generally means (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) have been admitted to the United States as a refugee, or have been granted asylum, as specified under applicable law.

Main Functions

The responsibility of the Lab Technician shall be to perform the chemical analysis of the process chemistry used in manufacturing and cross section support to achieve customer quality and delivery requirements.

Typical Duties

• Follow detailed training plan as specified on schedule.
• Perform chemical analytical procedures and tests involving wet analysis and instrumentation for specific chemical constituents found in the wet process areas.
• Maintain bath formulation to pre-empt occurrence of problems related to improper levels of bath constituents.
• Assist in establishing optimum specs to ensure max solution efficiency and uniformity of deposits.
• Provide chemical analysis for plating, cleaning, etching, oxide and other processes.
• Recommend chemical adds and record additions.
• Maintain file system on analysis, using data tracking software.
• Interface with process engineering in establishing and implementing processes and procedures.
• Utilize atomic absorption spectrophotometer, pH meter, CVS machine, UV vis spectroscopy, and balance scales, etc. in performance of duties.
• Monitor quality of work and compliance with process and product specification.
• Communicating material inventory concerns.

Education Requirements
High School Diploma

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1-3 yrs. experience in manufacturing environment, or laboratory.
• Competent in reading, speaking and understanding of the English Language.
• Knowledge of standard Chemistry techniques such as pH adjustments, titrations, specific gravity testing.
• Knowledge of health and safety, waste, and chemical regulations.
• Good computer skills (knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged viewing of small parts.
• Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Follow all safety requirements.
• Maintain good housekeeping in work and public areas.
• Other duties as needed or assigned by supervisor.
