Interfaith Homes of Kalamazoo seeks a Property Manager to oversee the 274 apartments and townhomes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Property Manager or similar role.
- Knowledge of contract management, sales, and office operations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for tenant relations and conflict management.
- Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Attention to detail for accurate data entry and record keeping.
- Adheres to fair housing regulations to ensure compliance.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Will be required to obtain State of Michigan Real Estate Salesperson License within one year of hire with costs being borne by the Company.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Project-Based Section 8 HUD rental assistance.
- Proficient in property leasing procedures and practices in accordance with resident selection plan.
- Experience in facilities management, including maintenance and repairs.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations.
- Oversee the marketing and advertising efforts to attract prospective tenants.
- Conduct property tours and screen potential tenants.
- Negotiate and execute lease agreements and renewals.
- Collect rent payments and ensure timely payment from tenants.
- Address tenant concerns and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise.
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs with vendors and contractors.
- Maintain accurate records of property-related transactions, including leases, inspections, and maintenance requests.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and fair housing guidelines.
- Implement strategies to maximize occupancy rates and rental income.
- Meet numerous and unanticipated requests for information or inspections from lenders, syndicators, HUD, the City of Kalamazoo and others.
