Water Well Pump Mechanic / Installer - Helper

Locke Well & Pump Company has been in business in Orlando since 1952. We are looking for qualified candidates with relevant experience to fill open positions for a Water Pumps Mechanic & Installer for our service department.

This position would troubleshoot, remove & install well pumps and electric motors on location in the Orlando Area, reporting at our location daily in Orlando, candidates must review the location and commute before applying.

Requirements:

• Florida Issued Drivers License
• Clean Drivers Record ~ 5 Year Check

(No Suspensions, No DUIs, No Major speed violations)

• Pass Drug Test and Background Check
• Experience using tools and equipment.
• Lift 50-80lbs on a daily basis.
• Work outside in all types of weather conditions including heat and rain that can be awkward and strenuous.

Responsibilities Include:

• Installation and repair of well pumps, submersible turbine pumps, & wastewater pumps.
• Heavy lifting and use of large tools, cranes, trucks, hoists, hand tools and rigging equipment.
• Performing welding and torch cutting tasks.
• Loading and unloading trucks, trailers and a clean driving record.
• Provide field technical support for water and waste water pumps.
• Provide field technical support for electrical components including but not limited to control boxes, control panels and float switches.
• Assist with a crew to remove and/or install vertical turbine pumps, submersible well pumps and above ground pumps.
• Assist or lead crew to remove and/or install hydro pneumatic tanks and field piping.
• Interact with customers in the field.
• Assist in warehouse/fleet operations, organizing, packing, and other various tasks.

Qualified candidates will have:

• Experience with water pumps, well pumps and vertical turbine pumps.
• Experience working around heavy equipment.
• Experience with various power tools, electrical and gas powered.
• Experience with testing meters such as voltage meters and ammeters.
• Must be able to work indoors or outside in inclement weather.
• Must be able to follow direction.
• Must be able to work individually or with a crew.
• Valid Drivers License and insurable to drive company vehicles.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37,500.00 - $41,500.00 per year
