Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice to join our team we are a licensed electrical/hvac team that specializes in commercial spaces. We need someone who is a hard worker that shows up on time and wants to learn the trades. The Apprentice will work under the supervision of experienced techs, assisting in various tasks. During first 180 days as completed training/certs are completed, successful candidates will receive bumps in pay.
Duties
- Assist team with a variety of installs, maintenance, and service based projects in line with assigned Tech.
- Support performance testing, system inspections, and routine service activities on a variety of HVAC equipment.
- Help with the setup and teardown of tools, equipment, and materials needed for daily tasks.
- Learn to identify and report potential system issues, safety concerns, or operational inefficiencies.
- Maintain a clean and organized jobsite and company vehicle, following proper handling and storage procedures for tools and materials.
- Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and be trained on HVAC systems, tools, procedures, safety protocols, and documentation practices.
- Listen actively to instruction and guidance from supervisors and senior technicians, applying feedback to improve skills and work quality.
- Read and interpret basic mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and wiring diagrams with support from lead technicians.
- Accurately document work performed, including photos, checklists, and technician notes, as directed.
- Follow all safety guidelines and company policies while working on active jobsites.
- Travel to multiple job sites daily using company-provided transportation.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting with tasks in other departments or supporting other trades as needed.
Experience
- Must have graduated from an HVACR Schooling Program
- Background knowledge or previous experience in electrical, HVAC, or handyman work is preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in the trades is preferred.
- A strong interest in pursuing a career in commercial construction.
- Willingness to learn from experienced professionals and take on new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
