Overview
We are seeking a skilled Plumbing & HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, mechanical systems, and field service, with the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and appliance systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, including property maintenance, equipment repair, and system installation. A valid driver’s license is required for this position. The technician will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of heating, cooling, refrigeration, and plumbing systems across various commercial and residential properties.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment such as ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Perform plumbing repairs and installations, including pipe fitting, fixture replacement, and leak detection.
- Read and interpret schematics, HVAC design plans, and mechanical drawings to execute service tasks accurately.
- Conduct equipment repairs using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment; perform preventive maintenance on HVAC/R systems.
- Install new systems or components following manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Utilize field service skills to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues in commercial or residential settings.
- Repair appliances related to HVAC or plumbing systems as needed.
- Maintain detailed service reports and documentation of work performed.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, or property maintenance roles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and system troubleshooting techniques.
- Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems and HVAC/R certifications is a plus.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; welding skills are advantageous.
- Construction or mechanic experience preferred; familiarity with appliance repair is beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record;
driver certification is desirable. - Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues accurately.
- Ability to work independently in the field under minimal supervision while maintaining safety standards. Pay: $28.53 - $34.36 per hour
