Position
We have an opening for a full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our multi-disciplinary team. This role requires close collaboration with our psychiatrist, internal medicine providers, and behavioral therapists to support patients’ mental health. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal, communication, and time management/organization skills.
Key responsibilities
- Provide individual counseling and appropriate patient education using evidence-based approaches
- Conduct assessments, create treatment plans, and track patient progress
- Collaborate closely with the psychiatrist and internal medicine providers on diagnostic and treatment plans
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with state and organizational standards
Qualifications
- Active license as a Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida
- Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, or a related behavioral health field
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a clinical team environment
- Experience with documentation using electronic medical records systems
