Your impact:
- Support junior staff and help grow the traffic department.
- Conduct signal timing studies, evaluation of signal systems, and adaptive signal systems.
- Design ITS, traffic signal, and lighting systems.
- Design complex traffic control during construction plans.
- Develop signing and pavement marking plans.
- Analyze intersection and highway levels of service
- Conduct field reviews to identify safety and operational issues.
- Coordinate work tasks and reviews to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
- Clearly communicate work through drawings, documents, reports, and verbal exchange.
- Prepare Final Design plans specifications, and estimates.
- Coordinate internal traffic work to support other Lochner offices.
- Participating in project scoping, fee estimating and proposal activities
Who you are:
- BS in Civil Engineering.
- Professional License (PE) a plus.
- 2 years of traffic/transportation engineering experience.
- MassDOT, VTrans or RIDOT experience.
- Experience using CADD design software.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Work Environment
