Banquet Lead

We are looking for a cook to be our main banquet prep/execution. This position has a changing weekly schedule, but expect some very early mornings (sometimes as early as 5:30am) and some late nights. You are supported by team, but your sole responsibilities will be banquet prep and execution as needed. This position is very fast pased in the summer.

The right candidate for this position has reliable transportation, shows up on time, and is familiar with banquets. This is not a position for someone new to the industry.

Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure all food handling and preparation practices comply with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Assist in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.
• Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimize waste while ensuring quality.
• Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary needs when required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar food industry setting.
• Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and kitchen safety protocols.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Familiarity with dietary restrictions and meal planning is a plus.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
