Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and maintain laser cutting equipment to produce precise metal components according to technical specifications. Your expertise will ensure high-quality production while adhering to safety standards and manufacturing best practices.
Duties
- Set up, calibrate, and operate laser cutting machines to produce accurate parts based on technical drawings and production documents
- Interpret blueprints, CAD files, and CNC programming instructions to ensure precise fabrication
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser equipment to maximize uptime and efficiency
- Measure finished parts using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy
- Follow safety protocols and manufacturing standards to maintain a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects and assist with materials handling as needed
- Document production data accurately for quality control and process improvement purposes
Requirements
- Manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.
- Ability to read a tape measure and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Dependable and willing to learn.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Good attitude and teamwork skills.
