We are looking to add an experienced PART-TIME veterinary assistant/technician to our incredible team! We’re looking for an experienced veterinary assistant/technician to join our brand new, privately owned, veterinary urgent care clinic 3-4 days a week to assist during our busiest times.

As an Urgent Care Veterinary Assistant/Technician, you will:
- Performing phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters in all peripheral vessels.
- Offer ideas on how to improve the client and patient experience
- Assist with monitoring sedated patients
- Triage urgent care cases as they arrive at the hospital including obtaining vitals such as temperature heart rate, respiratory rate and blood pressure.
- Perform digital radiography using proper technique including proper positioning of patients.
- Have a complete understanding of normal ranges of patient vital signs, including but not limited to heart and respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure and oxygen saturation.
- Properly calculate medical math and administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.
- Have patience and empathy to address client concerns.
- Be able to conduct oneself in a professional manner
- Accurately record controlled drugs
- Help induce and monitor patients under anesthesia
- Have a knowledge of common veterinary drugs, their uses, side effects and dosages
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment
