Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and accurately, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality.
Duties
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Assist servers by providing support during busy service periods, including refilling drinks and clearing tables.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, including bussing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding food orders and special requests.
- Handle food items safely and adhere to all food handling guidelines.
- Utilize the Aloha POS system for order tracking and communication with the kitchen as needed.
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing any questions or concerns promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food preparation, banquet service, or kitchen operations is a plus.
- Strong guest service skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is advantageous but not mandatory.
