Duties
- Prepare and cook grilled items such as steaks, burgers, seafood, vegetables, and specialty dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitizing procedures throughout all stages of food handling and preparation
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new grilling techniques or menu items that enhance customer satisfaction
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, fryers, ovens, and knives with precision skills
- Ensure timely food production during high-volume service periods while maintaining quality control
- Follow food safety management protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Support the culinary team in food presentation, portion control, and overall meal preparation for dine-in or catering services
Skills
- Proven experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques such as braising, poaching, grilling, and food handling
- Excellent knife skills with the ability to execute precise cuts and food prep tasks
- Experience in fine dining or high-volume restaurant environments demonstrating efficiency under pressure
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food safety management practices
- Ability to work effectively within a team while maintaining attention to detail and cleanliness
- Familiarity with catering services, meal preparation, and serving standards in the food industry
