Responsibilities
- Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and other commercial drivers’ vehicles, following all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load, unload, and secure packages using equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary.
- Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity while maintaining punctuality.
- Deliver packages directly to customers’ homes or businesses with professionalism and a friendly attitude.
- Handle heavy lifting and moving of packages, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Communicate effectively with customers during delivery to confirm receipt and address any questions or concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, and vehicle inspections in compliance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in delivery driving or courier roles, especially with box trucks or similar vehicles.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Warehouse experience is a plus, including familiarity with load & unload procedures and equipment like pallet jacks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical moving tasks safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of route driving best practices to ensure timely deliveries.
