Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated Facilities Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing the maintenance and operation of our facilities, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment for our members and staff. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments. Weekend availability is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Facilities Manager in daily operations and maintenance activities.
- Supervise and coordinate facility maintenance staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and according to schedule.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and cleanliness issues.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for repairs and maintenance projects.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and club policies.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations.
- Assist in developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
- Support special projects and renovations as directed by management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in facilities management or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general maintenance practices.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Certification in facility management or related areas is a plus.
