Vehicle Wrap Installer (Experienced) – Vinyl Wrap / Commercial / Color Change

Local Legend is seeking a skilled vehicle wrap installer to join our growing team in Amarillo, TX. This is NOT an entry-level position. We are only considering experienced vinyl wrap installers with a proven track record of high-end film installation. Our 6,000 square foot expansion dedicated to the installation of high-end vehicle wraps, paint protection film, and automotive window tint using premium materials from 3M, Avery Dennison, and XPEL is expecting completion by May 15th, 2026. With this expansion, we will be offering a state-of-the-art facility and are currently looking for experienced hard working installers to showcase the best that Amarillo has to offer.

• Qualified applicants will be asked to complete a paid hands-on install test.

Duties

• Apply vinyl wraps and graphics to vehicles of all sizes—cars, trucks, trailers, and beyond
• Perform surface prep, layout, installation, and trimming with a craftsman's eye
• Work with premium materials (3M, Avery, XPEL) and cutting-edge tools
• Ensure precision alignment, smooth finishes, and zero bubbles—because details matter
• Install full and partial vehicle wraps (color change commercial)
• Perform prep, disassembly, and post-install finishing
• Apply vinyl to complex surfaces (bumpers, mirrors, recesses)
• Post-heat and ensure long-term adhesion
• Maintain clean, high-end install quality standards
• Assist with PPF installs (preferred but not required)
• Occasionally remove existing wraps or graphics with care
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workspace

Requirements

• 2 years hands-on wrap installation experience
• Proven ability to complete full wraps independently
• Experience with 3M, Avery, or equivalent films
• Post-heating techniques
• Stretch control
• Edge finishing
• Portfolio required (photos or social media)

Compensation

• $20 - $30/hour based on experience

Expected hours: 35.0 – 45.0 per week
