Cafe Food Service Team Member

POSITION SUMMARY

• We are hiring Cafe Food Service Team Member(s) for our fast paced Cafe in Trexlertown featuring LOCAL Growers & Producers, Organic Fruits & Veggies and Pasture Raised Meats. The Cafe Team Member(s) are responsible for assisting with the daily production of prepared foods for the Market Grab & Go Cases and Made to Order Cafe Menu items. This role requires attention to detail, time management, a solid understanding of food safety practices, and the ability to follow precise recipes while maintaining a clean and safe working environment for all Team Members. Position requires (1) one Weekend Shift per week. Food Service experience is required. ServSafe Food Handler Certification is preferred. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Arrive on time with appropriate food service dress and attire, ready to work.
• Passion for preparing and serving healthy meals utilizing LOCAL ingredients.
• Work collaboratively with Cafe & Market Team Members and provide exceptional customer service that delights our customers.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures and sanitation are maintained in all work areas, and that personal protective equipment is used when appropriate to do so.
• Ability to perform in high stress situations (lunch rush) and thrive in a fast-paced envirnoment that requires multitasking.
• Basic reading and writing skills with the ability to prepare food items according to recipes, menu specifications, and customer requests.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently as well as communicate effectively with all Team Members and Management in a professional and collaborative manner.
• Assist and support with the completion of Cafe Opening/Closing Tasks and Checklists, including but not limited to station prep, sweeping, mopping and dish washing.
• Maintain a neat, organized work environment and ensure all kitchen equipment is in proper working order.
• Follow all health and safety standards, including the proper use of personal protective equipment.
• ServSafe Food Handler Certification is preferred but not required.
• Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to stand for the entirety of the work shift with walking, kneeling, squatting, reaching and lifting to retrieve ingredients, tools and materials to complete orders.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
