What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personal Lines Customer Service Agent position at Local Insurance Agency?
Our local agency is looking to hire a personal lines insurance account representative that will provide service to accounts- including, but not limited to, auto, home, boat, recreational, renters, etc. This individual will service existing accounts as well as quote, issue and tend to new accounts. Must be a quick learner with an ambitious attitude and the ability to work in a fun, fast paced office environment.
Essential job functions include:
- Quoting insurance for new and current policies
- Processing and reviewing policies, endorsements, and change requests.
- Responsible for gathering the information for the placement of new accounts
- Determine carrier placements, complete applications and endorsements
- Preparing various insurance documents, binders, insurance cards and summaries of insurance
- Maintain timely and thorough customer and carrier interactions
- Maintain a working knowledge of all rating products and processes
Requirements:
- Must obtain a New York State Insurance License
- Experience in the Insurance Industry
- Proficiency with Insurance Management Systems
- Solid written and verbal communications skills
