What are the responsibilities and job description for the Videographer / Content Creator (NY-Based) - Contract to Full Time position at Lobsterboys?
We are looking for a videographer who is looking for a full-time role with a fast growing media venture.
Context: We are two brothers, fourth-generation lobster fishermen (The Lobsterboys); entrepreneurs, building a fast-growing brand and content platform across business, lifestyle, and storytelling. This is a unique creative opportunity to play a central role in scaling creators and producing content that is bold, new and reaches millions.
The role is dynamic and fast paced. It is entirely in-person and we are looking for someone who is highly creative, collaborative, passionate about what they do to join co-founders in creating content. What this requires is:
1) Be in person in the NY Metro area every day (Contract to Full time)
2) Film daily, in-person content across business operations (meetings, deals, growth moments, working with fishermen), Lifestyle (training, routines, day-to-day life), Behind-the-scenes of building a brand; Shoot and produce podcasts, live stream (multi-cam setup, audio, lighting) and social media short form content; 3) Develop quality short and long form content for: TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, X
- YouTube long-form, Twitch (TBD) and Live content
- Turn raw footage into fast, engaging, story-driven content
- Travel locally and occasionally internationally for shoots, events, or content opportunities
- Collaborate directly with co-founders on content ideas and direction
This is a high-output role with fast turnaround expectations and full-time commitment.
