Loar Group (NYSE: LOAR), is seeking a Senior Engineer to support the continued growth and operational excellence of one of its engineered products business in the northeastern US. Loar Group specializes in acquiring and growing companies that design and manufacture highly engineered products for the global aerospace & defense market. To date Loar has acquired 20 niche aerospace & defense manufacturing businesses across the US and Europe.
Reporting to the Vice President of Engineering, this role plays a key part in manufacturing process improvement and operational problem‑solving. The Senior Engineer will work on multiple concurrent projects that support business growth, efficiency, and product quality in a hands‑on manufacturing environment. The Senior Engineer Will:
- Lead and support engineering efforts related to manufacturing process improvement, equipment performance, and production methods.
- Operate effectively in a small engineering organization where roles are broad, priorities shift, and engineers are expected to balance project work with day‑to‑day manufacturing support.
- Spend meaningful time on the shop floor diagnosing equipment and process issues, supporting maintenance and repair activities, and ensuring engineering solutions are practical and manufacturable.
- Create and contribute to tooling, fixture, and equipment documentation to ensure proper setup, use, and maintenance.
- Support quality documentation needs including control plans, inspection methods, and nonconformance documentation.
- Partner with Operations to identify and resolve production challenges, improve flow, and drive gains in cost, quality, and efficiency.
- Apply structured problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis to deliver sustainable, practical solutions.
- Serve as a technical resource on manufacturability, tooling readiness, and quality standards.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field, with 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read, interpret, and generate blueprints/models in 2D and 3D formats.
- Working knowledge of quality systems such as ISO 9001 / AS9100.
- Strong mechanical engineering foundation with hands-on manufacturing and equipment support experience.
