Due to massive volume expansion and dominant market growth, The Mister Mortgage Team at loanDepot, led by West Virginia's #1 overall unit producer Rick DeGroff (NMLS #408825), is seeking a licensed Junior Mortgage Loan Officer / Associate to join our premier branch in Hurricane, WV.
This is not a generic call-center or remote prospecting role. You will be stepping directly into the trenches with the top-producing purchase-money lender in the state. The successful candidate will work face-to-face alongside Rick DeGroff, learning the exact systems, structuring methodologies, and real estate relationships that drive the state's leading residential mortgage volume. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pipeline Execution: Assist Rick DeGroff in managing, reviewing, and tracking a high-volume pipeline of purchase-money mortgage applications from initial pre-approval to successful closing.
- Full-Spectrum Loan Structuring: Learn to structure files across the full spectrum of federal and state programs, specializing in the West Virginia Housing Development Fund (WVHDF), USDA Rural Development, VA home loans, and FHA products.
- Relationship Management: Serve as a direct, professional point of contact for our extensive network of elite West Virginia real estate agents, homebuilders, and professional referral partners.
- The Path to Purchase Journey: Guide first-time homebuyers through credit optimization, down payment assistance guidelines, and structural file scenarios to ensure a smooth, elite consumer experience.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Active Licensing: Must hold an active NMLS Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license in the state of West Virginia in good standing.
- Industry Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of residential mortgage experience (processing, loan originating, or underwriting background preferred).
- Core Competencies: Deep familiarity with standard origination systems, guideline engines (DU/LP), and an advanced understanding of debt-to-income (DTI) calculations and credit analysis.
- Local Focus: Ability to work out of our regional branch office located at 3772 Teays Valley Rd, Hurricane, WV, while assisting home buyers and tracking real estate markets across the entire state.
