Mortgage Loan Processor
In-Office Position
Loan City Mortgage is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Processor to support our Central Processing & Training Team in managing and advancing residential mortgage loan files from initial application through underwriting, closing, and funding.
This role ensures loan files are complete, compliant, and moving efficiently through the pipeline while maintaining excellent communication with loan officers, underwriters, borrowers, and third-party vendors.
Responsibilities
- Review new loan submissions for completeness and accuracy
- Communicate with borrowers, loan officers, title companies, escrow officers, underwriters, and third-party vendors to collect required documentation
- Submit files to underwriting and coordinate conditions through clear-to-close
- Maintain accurate system notes and ensure compliance with federal, state, and investor guidelines
- Order and review third-party documentation including:
- 4506-T
- Insurance
- VOEs
- FHA case numbers
- Appraisals
- Title and escrow information
- Prepare and review disclosures
- Sort and upload loan documentation into Arive
- Assist loan officers throughout the transaction process through funding
- Conduct weekly pipeline reviews with loan officers
- Maintain posted turn times and customer service standards
- Close out funded loan files to Quality Control standards
- Assist with training initiatives, onboarding, and mentoring new employees
- Support branch-facing training resources, guides, and workflow materials
- Ability to efficiently manage and process 15 to 25 loan files per month
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous mortgage industry experience required
- Experience as a Loan Officer, Loan Officer Assistant, or Loan Processor preferred
- MLO Endorsement prefered
- Strong understanding of loan programs including:
- FHA
- VA
- Conventional
- USDA
- Jumbo
- DU/LP
- Ability to credit qualify borrowers
- Experience with Arive LOS is preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, One Drive, Excel, and Word
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
