Job Title: Account Executive
Department: Sales
Reports To: Field Sales Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Applicants must reside in or surrounding area of Cincinnati OH
Position Summary
The Account Executive is responsible for executing Load One’s outside sales strategy within the assigned territory of Ohio. This is a remote role based from home, with regular weekly travel required to visit prospects and customers, attend meetings, and build face-to-face relationships that drive revenue growth.
This role is critical to Load One’s continued expansion, requiring strong time management, CRM compliance, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategically manage a defined geographic territory.
- Develop and execute a weekly travel plan, focusing on highly potential regions and
customers.
- Maintain consistent in-person engagement with customers and prospects.
- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities.
- Manage and grow existing customers through cross-selling.
- Understand customer requirements and offer customized transportation solutions.
- Collaborate with Load One operations, pricing, and customer success teams for
successful onboarding and retention.
- Maintain complete, timely, and accurate records of all sales activities, calls,
meetings, and opportunities in HubSpot.
- Use CRM data to manage pipeline and forecast sales activity.
- Provide regular updates to the Field Sales Manager on progress and challenges.
- Responsible for individual KPI’s to manage performance and sales growth.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred, but not
required.
Experience:
- 3 years of proven sales experience in the transportation, logistics, or freight industry.
- 1 years of experience with Inside Sales – must have experience with full sales cycles.
- CRM experience, HubSpot a plus.
Skills:
- Professional verbal and written communication skills across all levels of an
organization.
- Ability to build strong relationships and understand complex customer needs.
- Strong knowledge of expedited transportation, logistics, and service offerings.
- Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office.
Working Conditions
- Remote/Home Office Based
- Weekly travel within Ohio Territory (Columbus, OH is central point)
- Occasional travel to Load One Headquarters (Taylor, MI) as well as Sales Events as needed.
